COA Alumni Association

The College of the Atlantic Alumni Association was founded in 1982 to support College of the Atlantic and promote communication between the college and its alumni as well as among its members. We are proud to have alumni extending the COA community around the globe. Every individual that has ever graduated from or attended classes at COA is considered an alumnus/a and can be a part of the Alumni Association.

Instead of a separate membership fee, COA's Alumni Association links membership to the college's Annual Fund. This means when you make a gift to the Annual Fund your membership in the Alumni Association will be activated.

Benefits of active COAAA membership include:

  1. Receiving the quarterly Peregrine alumni e-newsletter
  2. Staying connected with old friends through regional gatherings and an online database
  3. Having access to a network of human ecologists from the east coast to west and abroad

Alumni Association Governing Board

The Alumni Association Governing Board meets once a month from September to June, ending the year with our Annual Meeting. The Governing Board facilitates the mission and objectives of the Alumni Association. We organize local alumni events, assist with fund-raising efforts, update contact information, work to improve alumni communication services and develop new ways to serve and engage our alumni. We also introduce COA seniors and students to life as Human Ecologists after COA by inviting them to events and introducing them to the larger alumni community.

If you would like to learn more about the Alumni Association or Governing Board contact Mike Staggs '96, president of the Alumni Association, at mikestaggs@friendsofacadia.org.
