As participants in the Delta Project you will have several lodging options available to you:



On-Campus Housing
The Kathryn W. Davis Village is the College of the Atlantic’s newest and greenest housing complex. Featuring the latest in green building technology, the residences all boast ocean views and have been oriented for maximum daylight. Staying in on-campus housing will allow you to experience first-hand how green campus housing really can be. The cost is $100 per night for a single room with a shared bath, or $120 per night for double-occupancy.  These rooms can be reserved through the Delta Project online registration process.

The Bar Harbor Inn
We have reserved 40 rooms at the beautiful and historic Bar Harbor Inn, which is conveniently located in downtown Bar Harbor overlooking Frenchman Bay, the town pier, and Bar Island. Rooms range in price from $179 to $315 per night, depending on whether or not the room has an ocean view. All rooms are subject to state and local taxes - currently at 7%.  For more information about the property please visit the Bar Harbor Inn website.  If you would like to make a reservation please call 800.248.3351 and request a room with the College of the Atlantic block. All details regarding payment, check-in and check-out times, as well as the Bar Harbor Inn's cancellation policy will be explained at the time of booking. The deadline to book as part of this room block is May 1, 2010.



Harborside Hotel and Marina
We have also reserved 40 rooms at the beautiful new Harborside Hotel and Marina, again conveniently located in downtown Bar Harbor, overlooking Frenchman's Bay, Bar Island, and a short walk to the town dock. The rooms range in price from $209 to $245 per night depending on each room's location on the property. All rooms are subject to state and local taxes - currently at 7%. For more information please visit the Harborside website. Guests are welcome to enjoy the dining and spa amenities of the adjacent and historic Bar Harbor Club. When calling 800.328.5033 for a reservation, please identify yourself as a participant in College of the Atlantic's Delta Project. All details regarding payment, check-in and check-out times, as well as their cancellation policy will be explained at that time.  To ensure that you receive the preferred, contracted rate, please call to reserve you room no later than May 17, 2010.



Travel

If you are flying to Bar Harbor, the closest airports are Bar Harbor Airport (BHB — 11 miles from COA) and  Bangor International Airport (BGR — 47 miles from COA). Portland International Airport (PWM) is 160 miles away, and Boston's Logan Airport (BOS) is 250 miles. 

Car rentals are available at all airports and taxi fares are reasonable from the airports in Bangor and Bar Harbor. The Bar Harbor-Bangor Shuttle travels daily between the Bangor Airport and Bar Harbor for rates starting at $30 per person - advanced reservations are necessary.
