Davis UWC Scholarship

For UWC students enrolling at COA, the Davis United World College Scholarship will cover 100% of a student's financial need

up to a maximum of $40,000. Financial need is determined by calculating the family's ability to contribute to the cost of attendance based on information from the financial aid application. The application materials include, at a minimum, the International Student Financial Aid Application and the Certification of Finances form. Other supporting documents may be required, such as employment records or bank forms.

Students are expected to enroll at COA in the year following their graduation from their UWC unless they have successfully petitioned for a gap year. For students from countries that may require military service, it may be possible for a delayed enrollment of up to three years.

If a student's need exceeds $40,000, COA will contribute funds to cover basic expenses beyond this amount. In some cases, special program fees may be covered as well, such as an OOPs trip (orientation) or international studies program fee. Requests for additional funding may be evaluated on a case-by-case basis in accordance with the financial situation and status of the student.

The cost of attendance figure takes into account tuition, basic fees, insurance, room, board, books, supplies, travel and miscellaneous personal expenses. While some of these figures are estimates and may vary from student to student, we have strived to arrive at a fair, official cost of attendance estimate for educationally related expenses. Some flexibility has been worked into the system by providing work-study money that allows a student to earn limited funds to assist with their expenses as well as provide them with work experience and help integrate them into campus life.
