Field trips include a variety of fun and educational activities
- Get wet and have fun exploring tide pools
- Learn about tracking animals and create tracks to take home
- Enjoy Dive-In Theater, a boat trip that takes you on a journey to the bottom of the sea without ever getting wet
- Venture into the Gulf of Maine on a whale watch
- Spot bald eagles, porpoises, seals and seabirds on a nature cruise
- Take a field ecology hike in Acadia National Park
- Other highlights of Family Nature Camp include optional sea kayak tours and a lobster dinner.
- Returning Families - New activities include a sail on a four-masted schooner, a narrated nature cruise to the offshore fishing village of Frenchboro, and new and different self-guided hikes, walks, tours and activities suggested by program coordinators.
