At 300 students, COA is small - and so are the classes.  The average class size is 13 students and 95 percent of all classes have fewer than 20 students.  Small classes mean intense discussion, collaborative problem solving, and extensive student faculty/interaction.  The best way to experience this is to visit the college and sit in on classes.  If a trip to Bar Harbor isn't in your immediate future, take a look at these featured classes and get a sense of the academic engagement that exists at COA:
