Bagaduce Music Lending Library (Blue Hill, Maine) • As an annual member, Thorndike Library is able to borrow materials from the Bagaduce Library for COA community members.  The Music Lending Library is an "international resource center for printed sheet music and scores, housing numerous collections of music representing all genres of written music except marching band music". Their catalog is available online. Please contact library staff to make a request.

Fogler Library at University of Maine at Orono (Orono, Maine) • By special arrangement, the Fogler Library extends borrowing privileges to COA community members.  The Fogler Library is the largest research library in Maine. Prior to going to Orono, search Fogler's online catalog, URSUS.  COA community members must obtain a Fogler library card from the Thorndike Library staff before borrowing books from the Fogler library.

Jesup Memorial Library (Bar Harbor, Maine) • By special arrangement, the Jesup Library extends borrowing privileges to COA community members who are not year round residents. This is Bar Harbor's town library. Students should take their Identification to the Jesup Library to obtain a library card.

Joan Staats Library at Jackson Laboratory (Bar Harbor, Maine) • The Joan Staats Library welcomes COA community members as well as the general public.  The library supports the laboratory, one of the foremost cancer research institutions in the US. You may view their catalog online. They are open 7:30am - 3:30pm Monday through Friday.

Northeast Historic Film (Bucksport, Maine) • As an institutional member, the Thorndike Library is able to borrow videos for the COA community from Northeast Historic Film.  Northeast Historic Film "Collects moving images, documents, books, annotations, photographs, and technology related to northern New England filmmaking and amateur filmmaking."  Search their catalog online. Please contact library staff to make a video request.
