Alumni Giving to the Annual fund

All alumni annual fund gifts benefit financial aid.  Over 75% of current students receive financial aid.  Alumni gifts to the college's Annual Fund help to ensure that students continue to have the opportunity to benefit from the unique experience of a COA education in Human Ecology.

Why is Alumni Participation in the Annual Fund so important?  In addition to the invaluable support the Annual Fund provides for operating expenses, scholarship funds, library resources, technology improvements, faculty development, and facilities management, the Annual Fund is seen by many as a barometer of the state of the College. Many foundations and other grant making organizations consider the percent of alumni participation as a means of measuring a College's stature and stability. College guidebooks and recruiting organizations see the Annual Fund as an indicator of alumni satisfaction. Alumni who support the Annual Fund at any level help support the internal operations of the College and augment all of the College's outreach activities; not to mention active membership in the College of the Atlantic Alumni Association.

So how are we progressing toward our fund-raising goals this year?  (fiscal year ends June 30, 2008) 

 (FY 04/05), 334 Alumni, 301 of which are graduates, contributed $50,561 to the Annual Fund
