Residential Life

Turrets GardenCOA's residential life program fosters a collaborative living environment within a close-knit academic community. On-campus housing includes both residence halls as well as houses.

Each house has at least one Resident Advisor (RA) living in it. The RAs are returning students who have been selected and trained to help new students make the transition to college life by providing guidance, support and access to campus resources.

Housing
College of the Atlantic offers a variety of housing opportunities for students. These houses accommodate between six to twenty-two students each. Each house has a combination of triple, double, and single rooms. Each house is responsible for its own common area housekeeping. Click here to see the Student Resident Buildings.

Meal plan
Students living in campus housing are automatically enrolled in the College…amp;trade;s 5-day meal plan. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served Monday through Friday in the Blair Dining Hall (affectionately nicknamed "Take A Break"). Each house is equipped with a kitchen and dining area to encourage communal, cooperative dining on the weekends.

Substance-free housing
The residential life program is also committed to providing substance-free housing for students who are committed to living in an environment free from alcohol or other drugs. COA will offer at least one substance-free house on campus and we will do our utmost to accommodate as many students as request substance-free housing.
