Residence halls have small common rooms and kitchens with full-size appliances.  Rooms are equipped with twin beds or bunk beds, mattress pads, pillows, and blankets, but participants must bring their own bed linens and towels.  All bathrooms are co-ed and are shared by up to six people. If a shared room is a real problem and single rooms are unavailable on campus, you may find alternative housing in area motels, cottages, or inns.  For information on rentals contact the Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce at 1-800-288-5103 or visit their website or call the Summer Programs office for assistance.
MEALS:  COA provides three meals a day from Sunday evening to Friday evening.  Meals are served cafeteria style, and box lunches are provided for class field trips upon request.  An optional lobster dinner will be available for one of the evening meals.  Please provide advanced notice regarding food allergies and vegan or vegetarian preferences.  Participants enrolled in a two-week course are responsible for their own weekend meals (except for Sunday dinner).  A special lunch-only meal plan is available to commuters for $35 per person/week.
