As alumni you know personally about the distinctive education offered at COA. You can become an admissions volunteer and assist the Office of Admission in attracting future human ecologists. Volunteers help COA reach more potential candidates and provide additional personal contact to prospective students as they navigate the admissions process. If you are interested in representing COA at college fairs, interviewing prospective students, or speaking with parents of applicants, please contact Tony Victor in the Office of Admission at tvictor@coa.edu.

Thank you to those who are helping the Admission Office with its ongoing efforts to recruit bright, passionate and creative students! We understand that COA may have gone through a few changes since you were last here. To that end, we have compiled some information that will be helpful to you as you speak with prospective students.

What's New
On October 8th, 2006, during the inauguration of President David Hales, COA pledged to be carbon neutral by December 2007. With painstaking effort on the part of faculty, staff and students, COA reached its goal on December 19th, 2007. To read more about this, see

The Kathryn W. Davis Student Residence Village has been described as one of the most sustainable housing projects in the country. Just across a small stream from The Turrets and nestled behind Seafox, the housing opened to this year's students. The new residences are one of two new exciting additions to campus-- opening its doors this fall, Deering Common, the new student center that's built within the 1886 Sea Urchins/Ryles cottage. With the opening of Deering Common, students will have a dedicated center in which to study, meet, meditate, watch films, snack, or kick back and relax. To find out more about the Kathryn W. Whether it's only been a handful of years or more than a decade since you were last on campus, it's helpful to know who our students are, where they've come from, and what drew them to COA. Currently, international students comprise 18% of our student body, in great part due to the Davis United World College Scholars program. Student Work
The Senior Project continues to be the capstone experience for all graduating COA students, and the projects are as varied and exploratory as the students that undertake them. To have a look at some of the more recent projects students have completed, check out Final Projects
