This site contains a small overview of Michelle Dumont's (class of 2002) senior project; a curriculum designed for an advanced level high school social studies elective. She uses human rights as a vehicle to study international law, geography, history, politics, economics and culture. The structure of this curriculum is rooted in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other international human rights law. She also uses case studies from Rwanda to Jordan to address the human rights abuses experienced in different parts of the world. A full version of her work is available at Thorndike Library, College of the Atlantic.
