Residencies

A residency is a three-credit, term-long, educational experience designed by students who wish to pursue advanced, focused work. Residencies are usually possible only for third or fourth year students. A residency offers a student the opportunity to put together her or his own cohesive, term-long program of study in order to explore areas that may not be provided in either the content or the structure of the curriculum. The residency may incorporate diverse components such as participation in courses, workshops, or training programs, independent studies, volunteer work with individuals or organizations, development of particular skills, research in academic topics, and field research. Simply put, it is an opportunity for a student to design her or his "dream" term.
