All College of the Atlantic Summer Program participants are given a username and password that allows them to access college computers.
The Neva Goodwin computer lab is located in the lower level of Kaelber Hall and has a combination of Macs and PCs. It is open weekdays from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm, and is available to course participants for homework, research, email, etc. The Thorndike Library is located on the upper level of Kaelber Hall and has several public access computers that may be used for library research, during the library's open hours on weekday afternoons. There are also two public access computers in the lobby of the Arts & Sciences Building.
COA offers free wireless internet access to summer program participants. Wireless service is available in most buildings including residence halls, Thorndike Library, and academic buildings. Prior to arrival on campus, all course participants will receive instructions for registering their computers on COA's network. Computers must be fully updated, and have anti-virus and anti-spyware programs installed. If you do not have administrative access to your computer, please feel free to contact the Summer Programs Office for early access to the network registration instructions.
