Overlooking Frenchman Bay, and COA in the autumn

Friday, October 5 through Monday, October 8, 2018

College of the Atlantic’s Alumni Weekend takes place on Indigenous Peoples Day (previously known as Columbus Day) weekend every year. October is a perfect time to be on Mount Desert Island. The foliage is gorgeous, campus is in full swing, and Bar Harbor has quieted down from the summer tourist season. Whether it is your first visit back, or you’ve been here many times before, we look forward to seeing you.

Book your accommodations early! In addition to local hotels, some of which offer a discount, you also have the option to:

  • Tent in The Community School field (a local school founded and run by an alumna)
  • Tent at the house of a fellow alumna/alumnus who lives locally
  • Stay with a fellow alumna/alumnus who lives locally and has offered a space in their home

If you are interested in one or more of these options, please contact Jen Hughes for more information.

Sign up for the COA Alumni Network where all events will be displayed when the schedule is finalized. This is where you will see who has RSVP-ed to attend events at Alumni Weekend. Be sure to join if you haven’t already so you can be “in-the-know”!
