COVID 19 Farm Update

We are all in uncharted territory as we figure out how to move forward in these turbulent and uncertain times. BUT we do want to let you know that Beech Hill Farm is committed to maintaining full production this season with the primary goal of providing our community with safe, healthy and accessible food. Each day we are getting new and updated information and we are moving quickly to adapt and make changes to the farm’s production and distribution systems.

There are many details we are still working through, but also some elements that are certain:

  • Most importantly, we are committed to maintaining our high standards of food safety and have also implemented new safety protocols as added precaution to ensure we keep our staff and community safe.
  • Our 2020 CSA will remain the same with new pick-up procedures. As we continue to monitor the situation, we will be in touch about new changes which will most likely include expanded hours and curbside pick-up, or even delivery to reduce social contact. We are expanding the share this season and the application is still open. To sign up for a 2020 share visit : https://www.coa.edu/farms/beech-hill-farm/our-csa/
  • MDI Farm Drop is still operating and is the best way to currently get our produce and other local products while maintaining recommended social distancing. You can place your order at mdifarmdrop.com, Saturday - Tuesday for Thursday pick-up.

We are taking the CDC’s recommendation of social distancing very seriously and are determining the safest method of food distribution for the summer season.

  • We are currently assessing how to operate the farmstand this season to ensure safety for our staff and customers.  We are reviewing our options, including an online ordering platform and pickup or delivery service. Know that we are working diligently to make a plan for the safest way to continue getting local and healthy food to our community.
