Lynn Boulger, College of the Atlantic’s Dean of Institutional Advancement and her husband Tim Garrity, Executive Director of the Mount Desert Island Historical Society will give a presentation entitled Tramping Through New Zealand at the next Human Ecology Forum on Tuesday, May 12 at 4:10 in the McCormick Lecture Hall.

The couple traveled to the South Island in March of 2015 and hiked - or “tramped” as the Kiwis say - three of the famous walks in Fiordland National Park.

Through rain forests and over mountain passes, they carried their tent, food, and supplies and camped out on beaches on the Tasman Sea and on the shoulders of the snow-capped Southern Alps.

They will share their gear list, maps, books, as well as their photos.

The talk is free and open to the public.
