In this course students will continue to develop their proficiency in spoken and written French and will undertake a more sophisticated study of literature and culture.

Students will practice all four skill areas—listening, speaking, reading and writing—during each class meeting. In addition, students will read, discuss, and analyze literary texts and cultural readings.

Class time will be devoted to lectures, pair work, small- and large-group discussions, and extensive written and oral practice of structure and vocabulary. Students will be evaluated through written and oral tests, class participation, short papers, and oral presentations.



Placement exam required to confirm level.
