Getting here:

A New-Englander through and through, I first looked for a school near the place that I call home. I also wanted to study to become a teacher at a place where I shared the teaching-philosophy of the institution, COA has been that place.

Favorite class:

One of my favorite classes has been Intercultural Education. As a student and pre-service teacher it provided me with the chance to delve deeply into understanding my role in the classroom with regards to race, gender, class, culture, and more.

Internship:

Student Teacher at Trenton Elementary School in Fourth Grade

Life on Mount Desert Island:

Hiking in Acadia and winter mornings at Mount Dessert Bakery

Activities, traditions, celebrations:

Sitting on the pier or in the lawn looking up at the bright stars on a clear night.

Best meal on campus:

Fall, winter, or spring flavors pasta!
