Getting here:

My first week at COA was also my first week in the US. I arrived in Boston and was picked up by a fellow first year. Their family welcomed me into their home and on the next day we drove up to Bar Harbor. Just hours after arriving on campus I took off on a sea kayaking adventure in the Stonington Archipelago. This first week shaped my experience at COA which has been full of hospitality, open arms and Ocean Adventures.

Activities, traditions, celebrations:

The Bar Island Swim is a great tradition! It gets students comfortable with the cold, creates connection, and finishing sets you into a euphoric state.

Adventures yet to come:

I will be spending the winter term in Yucatan, Mexico.

Best meal on campus:

Vegan Mac ‘n’ Cheese with Savory Tofu is my definition of US comfort food.

The homemade Sourdough bread in TAB is a little taste of home.

Ephemera:

Swimming at night from COA the pier in the summer feels like swimming in the star filled sky.
