Getting here:

I grew up in a small town, as a homeschooled student who valued independent, hands-on learning. I originally was a student at Marlboro College, which had to shut down in June of 2020. COA became my new home then!

My approach to human ecology:

I am an observer, and what I have observed over the years is that my memories and experiences shape how I interact with my environments and the people and animals in it. I wanted to explore the source of these actions (and inactions) by re-membering the things of my past.

Senior project:

My senior project will be an explorative collection of various styles of lyrical essay and poems pertaining to my history, mostly about identity, place, and family.

Ephemera:

You may not believe it, but the Gulf of Maine is home to bioluminescent plankton! If you go to the COA beach at night, you can see the glimmering creatures if you disturb the water. Especially fun to swim in (during the summer of course!)
