I originally wanted to study Early Childhood Education, but realized in my second year that I felt very drawn to working in food systems! Taking Kourtney Collum’s classes was a game-changer for me. I want to spend my next couple years at COA digging in (pun intended!) to botany, agroecology, nutrition, and culinary science.

Favorite class:

Acadia & The National Park Idea with Ken Cline!

I was a Food Access Intern at Open Table MDI! I worked in a community garden in Seal Cove, harvesting fresh produce to give away for free to those in our program.

Passions & motivations:

Growing food, cooking food, sharing food, eating food!

Best meal on campus:

Lise’s stuffed haddock

COA might be the right college for you if...

a national park is your preferred classroom setting
