Getting here:

Welp, I always thought I was going to leave Maine for college but turns out the best school for me was here! I discovered the school through my dad who may or may not know a few things about loons, long story short, there was a waterbird conference at COA, my dad spoke, and I knew about the school. I was like 11 so I didn’t seriously look into it until I was older and here I am.

Favorite class:

I have a lot of favorites, but my happy accident class has been “Dramatic Writing for Stage and Screen” which I took on a whim and I discovered a new passion and love a never knew about!

My approach to human ecology:

Well, isn’t that the great mystery.

For me, Human Ecology is about holistically looking at all things without judgement, with integrity, and with curiosity.

Internship:

I hope to finagle my way into an internship with a podcaster I admire so much!

Senior project:

Honestly, who knows…but it’s gonna be EPIC!

Life on Mount Desert Island:

I live on the quiet side of the island and I couldn’t be happier. Personally, I think it is far superior to Bar Harbor…oops!

Activities, traditions, celebrations:

I do love COA Governance for better or for worse.

I’m a former ACM Moderator and spent too many hours in committees, but I wouldn’t change a minute of it.

Passions & motivations:

I want to change the world for the better and live my dream life. Is that too hard to ask?

Adventures yet to come:

Travel. I just finished the Yucatan Program and it has been life altering and I just want to meet and connect with people all over the world. Of course, as safety as possible.

Best meal on campus:

The vegan tofu mac and cheese. Hands down. It is a cult classic and if you don’t like it the first time, try again, it strangely grows on you and I need it in my life.

COA might be the right college for you if...

If you have never liked conforming. If you like to march to your own drum then give COA a go.

Honestly for me it is COA or bust. I could never see myself thriving in a “normal’ college.

Ephemera:

The nature.

I have found the most beautiful areas on campus and no I won’t tell you where they are–go and find your own :)

Which came first, the chicken or the egg?

Personally…I think the ending scene of “Chicken Run” sums it up quite nicely ;)
