You can call me Ale (pronounced like Alex without the x). I was born and raised in northern Mexico and lived in Hong Kong for two years during high school. I speak English, Spanish, and a little bit of Mandarin. I joined COA in 2018 but because I took a gap year, I am only in my third term. I find tutoring to be very rewarding because I always learn something from the people I work with. Every session is a learning opportunity for me. My interests outside academics range from painting, anime, and Korean dramas to mental health, education, and feminism. My favorite classes so far have been Child Development and Public Speaking. I live on-campus and share a room with my emotional support dog, Tita.
