I love birds, boats, bones, bioluminescence, whales, waves, water, wandering, all things islands and oceans.

Favorite class:

Zoological field sketching! Literally Carrie is amazing and we sketch bugs all day does life get much better?

My approach to human ecology:

Every day it’s something new

Internship:

Gull research on Mount Desert Rock!

Senior project:

Refitting my sailboat, Gentoo!

Life on Mount Desert Island:

Wandering the shores of Acadia, watching gulls on the sand bar, painting the seafoam from the slippery rocks, laughing with friends on the pier, staring at the night sky and feeling oh so small, watching the storm surge from Otter cliffs, sailing on Frenchman Bay

Activities, traditions, celebrations:

Pier bagels in the morning, staying up too late baking with friends, painting by the sea, swimming in the magical bioluminescence below the stars and feeling like you’re casting spells

Passions & motivations:

Boats boats boats!

Adventures yet to come:

Sailing around the world, painting the colours of every sky, making good friends and good food along my way
