Class Year '26

I am a second year student at College of the Atlantic, with a focus on studying Marine Biology, though I’m hoping to expand my research skills with various lab and in-the-field opportunities in all areas of STEM.

I am looking into expanding my Carpentry and hard labor experience, both through my work-study job on campus, but also with work in the Bar Harbor and general Hancock County area.

In addition, I am also focusing on renewing my interests art, in two-dimensional and three dimensional forms which I hope to broadcast soon.

Landscape photography, another one of my passions, is another activity I’ve been working on, and hoping to gain some recognition, through participation in various photography competitions. I’ve also been trying my hand at filmmaking in the last year or so, which I hope to practice and exhibit to the public.

Internship:

I’m in the process of completing my internship with a nonprofit called Manomet, in the U360 class of 2023-2024. The U360 Business Sustainability Internship is a virtual experiential education and professional development program for college students. It teaches soft skills, environmental science, and sustainability concepts and how to apply them in the real world through direct engagement with small businesses.

Climate change conservation work, microplastic studies, and finding a way to combine the concepts of science and art

Best meal on campus:

There was this pasta dish served during orientation week of my freshmen year that COULD NOT be topped (but also hasn’t been served since…)

you want to pursue an experience that is quite the opposite of a traditional college. With COA’s proximity to nature, and accessibility to so many ventures, this is place where I feel you can study pretty much anything, and find actual means of support to do so.
