Beneath their canopies, sift through the leaf litter and discover the miniature world of mosses, mushrooms, salamanders, roly polies, and lichen. The geology and history of MDI has left us with a diversity of forest types and trees that make them up. Learn how these special places define our home and feed the local animals and landscape.
