An award-winning baker and author recently published her second book, launched a series of cooking classes based in Hamilton and has a vision for future endeavors in western Loudoun.
Tara Jensen and her husband, Marley Green, moved to Hamilton two years ago. Since relocating to her husband’s family farm, Jensen has become involved with the farming and baking communities in Loudoun County. She enjoys teaching workshops and classes and holds occasional pop-up bakery sales in the area.
Her book, Flour Power, was listed as one of the Washington Post’s top 10 cookbooks of 2022. Her breads, pizzas and other baked goods have been featured in Bon Appetite and Food and Wine magazines. Jensen previously lived in North Carolina and she was named one of Southern Living’s chefs of the year in 2021.
