“This album was born out of three weeks spent in New Mexico and ten weeks meditating on that time. It is an exploration of time, of place, of the concepts of home and belonging and our relationship to the land on which we walk. It is a reflection on my place in this landscape, in this country, and how I relate to those who were here before me. As a New Englander, I was on the outside looking into a worlds, peoples, cultures that were new and stimulating and wonderful and horrifying and easy to fall in love with. But more importantly, I was outside, looking in.”
