Indigo Woods

Class Year '21

I grew up enjoying food from local farms and gaining a deep reverence for the outdoors. These roots seeded a strong desire to build more regenerative food systems which work closely with their surrounding community. I also enjoy making art and spending time near the ocean and in the mountains.

Classes

Some of many: Marine Biology, Introduction to Economics, Drawing Mineral and Botanical Matter, Oceanography, Transforming Food Systems, Agroecology, Homesteading, Fisheries Fishermen and Fishing Communities, Ceramics, Seeds, US Farm and Food Policy, Contemporary Artist as Researcher and Activist, Native American Lit

Internship:

Healthy Acadia

Rural Vermont

Activities, traditions, celebrations:

Share the Harvest, Beech Hill Farm, tutoring in the Writing Center, hiking all the peaks in Acadia, sitting by the pier, sharing meals with friends

Passions & motivations:

Talking to farmers and sharing their insight with the world, building food sovereignty, creating a more just and sustainable world.
