Jana Stuth

Class Year '23

Grew up in Germany, went to UWC in India and somehow ended up on this beautiful island afterwards. I am up for a chat about politics and sustainability at any time!

Getting here:

A high school teacher of mine recommended COA to me and I knew it was a good fit right away. It was actually the only college I applied to and I was planning on taking a gap year in case I would not get in.

Favorite class:

I took a class called “Agricultural history: Apples”. It was a really good choice to start my time at COA with this course. As an international student, it offered a great introduction to New England and made me feel more at home.

My approach to human ecology:

Environmental- + social science= Human Ecology

COA might be the right college for you if...
