Thorndike Library
The library circulates a wide range of A/V equipment, some specifically for classes and some for any library patron.
For all patrons
We have a range of items that anyone can check out from audio players and binoculars, to external hard drives and DVD players.
For students in classes
We have a selection of equipment for use by students in specific classes, these items are by permission of instructor only. These items include cameras, lenses, audio recorders, and sound kits.
Spaces
Most classroom are equipped with a TV or projector with HDMI inputs. Some classrooms have VHS/DVD players and the library has some DVD players available for checkout.
The Thomas S. Gates, Jr. Community Center is regularly used for classes, lectures, performances, and large meetings. It has a stage with a piano, podium, ample seating on the main floor and balcony, a lighting and sound booth, and a digital projector with a screen.
The equipment in the Gates Community Center sound booth can only be used by COA staff.
