The COA Public Safety Department is service-oriented, student-focused, and committed to a safe learning environment. Night Watch staff are available seven days a week for escorts, lockouts, and emergencies. A shuttle service runs 7:30–11:30 p.m. between campus and downtown Bar Harbor.
Instant emergency updates sent directly to you.
COA Alert (powered by e2Campus) sends texts and emails during campus emergencies, weather events, or closures. All community members are automatically enrolled and can manage preferences online.
Know what to do when the snow hits.
COA rarely closes due to weather, but when it does, notices are sent via COA Alert and email. In the event of a snowstorm:
- Park only in designated overnight lots (Garden Lot, North Lot, South End by Route 3)
- Avoid parking between 12:01 a.m. and 7 a.m. outside of those areas
- Expect towing if not in compliance
- Listen for updates via local TV/radio and email announcements.
Pick up mail, send packages, or grab stamps. Located in Kaelber Hall, the front desk and mailroom are your hub for mail-related services. We offer:
- Stamp and UPS shipping sales
- Address changes and forwarding
- Mailbox support (student boxes in Arts & Sciences, faculty/staff in Turrets)
- Lost or unclaimed mail handling
Mailroom hours: Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm
Phone: (207) 288-5015
Email: mailroom@coa.edu
