Geology field trip to Mt. Battie

Join student Greta Senzig ’26 and Anne T. and Robert M. Bass Chair in Earth Systems and GeoSciences Dr. Sarah Hall for a fun, educational field trip to Mt. Battie in Camden. This experience is part of Senzig’s senior project, where she has designed a variety of field trip curricula for various geological sites around the midcoast.

If you are interested in geology, experiential education, teaching, or just want to explore a new part of the state—all are welcome. There will be the option for a small walk, but this field trip is geared towards all different ability levels. It will be an engaging and exciting way to explore one of the Camden Hills through geology.

Registration is required as there is limited space. A spreadsheet will be sent out to reserve spots on the trip. More details will be sent out to participants who sign up.

Vans will depart from the Whale Skull.
