Island Art Show opening reception

The show features College of the Atlantic student work from the 2026 field season on Mount Desert Rock and Great Duck Island.

COA’s islands are home not only to a number of scientific research projects, but also to some wonderful artists! The Island Art Show is a collection of works from the 2026 field season, created on and inspired by our island field stations in the Gulf of Maine. Featuring a variety of work including paintings, photographs, prints, writings, and more, the show will stay up in the museum throughout the term, for those who can’t make it to the opening reception.
