Counseling

College of the Atlantic
Life happens. We’re here to help.
The counseling program at COA strives to meet the emotional and mental health needs of all students, by offering confidential individual counseling to those who are experiencing difficulties that impact their personal and/or academic lives.
Our experienced, caring staff can provide you with psychological, emotional and developmental support as you move through your time at COA.
A COA counselor can assist you through a confidential process in dealing with such issues and problems of life as: making difficult life choices; managing conflict in personal, family or school life; coping with stress and anxiety; dealing with depression or anxiety; improving a troubled relationship; grieving losses; healing the wounds of emotional, physical or sexual abuse; addiction recovery; eating disorders and any situation that you feel prevents you from functioning.

Counseling hours
Five counselors are available for 45-minute appointments online through Doxy.me. For appointments with Kip Young, please call him directly at the number below. To sign up for a 45-minute appointment with one of our counselors, use the Schedule Now button below.
You will only have to register once with Schedulicity. The online system is completely confidential and only your counselor will be able to see that you’ve booked an appointment. After signing up for a time slot, you and the counselor will receive a confirmation email. Please make sure to complete a Telehealth consent form if you have not already done so this academic year for the respective counselor. Send the form to your counselor at their email listed and Barbara Conry at bconry@coa.edu.
