COA College Opportunity and Access (COA 2 ) is a strengths-based, difference-education program designed for students who self-identify with the experiences of first generation and/or low-income college students. Context matters in our experiences of difference. Starting from this premise, COA 2 offers a communal support and advocacy space to enable students to shape the college from which they are earning their degree.

COA 2  offers a breadth and depth of student support services starting with an early move-in and orientation preceding the Outdoor Orientation Program (OOPs), peer mentors; integrated and culturally sustaining academic and career advising; and skill-building (e.g., leadership, financial management, advocacy).

What now / a Supreme Court roundtable

COA Magazine Editor Dan Mahoney sat down with professors Jamie McKown and Bob Seddig, alumnus Ursa Beckford ’17, and current COA students, Sarah Ottinger ’25 and Kiara Carman ’24, for a discussion on the Supreme Court, the constitution, voting, vision, bad puns, and where we go from here. Read the full story here.

In memory of Robert “Bob” Seddig, COA adjunct professor and dear friend of the college.
