A COA experience that was particularly significant or memorable:

We went to Samso Island with a course. The course made me realize the true definition of Human Ecology in implementation. Primarily because Jay Friedlander (my lifetime mentor I would say since COA) and Anna Demeo were kickass professors. Jay’s demanding work continuously pushed me to look at the Samso sustainability model through the lens of business, sustainability, environment, politics, and future possibilities.

Considerations for prospective students:

COA is a land of endless opportunities. It has people with the ability and passion to nurture you with knowledge and critical thinking. Success is defined not by what you can do for yourself, but what you can do for the community and people you live with, or basically beyond yourself. It is a place that takes teaching to the next level or lets say it provides you a balance of the structured and unstructured education.
